June, 2017: Hello, June! Only a week into it and I get notice that I got a feature film gig! I cannot say anything about it yet, but will when I can. Just so excited about it! I also won free headshots with Backstage Photography! We won a Silver award at the Spotlight Horror Awards for obtaining the third highest score in the festival. (Yes, this is for Evil Rising!)
May, 2017: After lasts months relaxing month, this month was BUSY!! I was successful, and obtained management! YAY!! Then I spent two weeks out of state for festivals for Evil Rising and a little respite with my family. I went to the Crimson Screen Horror Film Fest, and had an awesome weekend in Charleston. I met a bunch of new film-makers and even a fan from my 'The Dark One' days! That was a trip and blast from the past! I also won again! Best Actress in a Short! My screenplay for my features, "Evil Rising," was also a finalist, but didn't win. I am so good with that! We also won at the Hang onto Your Shorts Film Festival for "Evil Rising," for Best Horror Short. So, I'd say I had a very successful May!
April, 2017: A nice quiet month, I just got caught up on my business articles and started writing a few more scripts! OHHHH..I've got some good muses going on! ;-) I'm also gearing up for manager meeting in May. Wish me luck!!
March, 2017: I was notified that I won Best Feature Script for the category:'Her story,' at the West Field Screenwriting Awards for my feature, Evil Rising! I cannot believe it! Blows my mind! My feature script is also a finalist at the Crimson Horror Fest along with the short film, and at the IHorror Film festival! I went to LA for the YEAs, and stayed with my BFF, Taylor Grace and we had such a wonderful time. Neither one of us won, but my stay was fabulous! It wasn't long enough and I didn't get a chance to see everyone I wanted to. But I realized that LA is the place I am supposed to be. So, that is one of my goals. I will get there!
February, 2017: We flew to Orlando for the Cosmic Film Festival, and stayed at a lovely timeshare donated by one of my old homeschool teachers! Thank you so much, Miss Luna! The festival was most informative and we learned a lot of what to prepare for for the feature. Plus I got to see some family that live in Florida too! It was fun! Oh and little bit of news: The Young Entertainer Awards nominated me for Evil Rising as well. for the category: Best Actress in a short film, ages 16-21! My best friend, Taylor Grace was also nominated for her film!
January, 2017: Well, this year has already started off with a BANG!! Jan 1st, we were notified that my Film evil Rising, has won in the LAIFFA, 3 AWARDS!! Best Horror Short, Best Director, the wonderful Savion Smith and Best Producers: Me, Savion Smith, Anthony Fagan, Sally Young, and Paula Rossman! We are so very excited. On the 4th we were notified that we are among a select few selected by the Berlin Independent Film Festival as an Official Selection! We may need a publicist and more gofundme funds! LOL
December, 2016: UPDATE TO MY UPDATE!!! That second NJ festival? I won BEST ACTRESS AGAIN!! AND...Are you sitting down? MY FILM? Evil Rising, which I wrote. Also won BEST FILM!!!! I am OVER the MOON!!! We've also been selected to be screened at the California's Women Festival in January, 2017 and are an Official Selection for the Cosmic Film Festival in Orlando Florida in February, 2017! My production team and I are so excited about everything that has happened with our film! Thank you so much!
December, 2016: OH MY GOSH!! We got our official trailer done, and went to the Northeast Film Festival, where I still cannot even believe it, where I won BEST ACTRESS!! I was up against a terrific LA actress and a well known soap star, Melissa Archer! Fun Fact: I met her when I was a little girl at an event for ABC soaps and I've looked up to her ever since! To win next to her is just mind blowing! Oh and today, we also got accepted into another festival in Jersey! I am so grateful! Thank you Universe!
October, 2016: Our filming of my short of my feature went great! We had to adjust some things due to time issues and location issues, but we did it! Our wonderful Editor, Cristhian Andrews and our VFX man Peter Polyakov did an absolutely stunning , stellar job on my baby! The private premier at the 72hour film event, went so good, the noises from the audience made us giggle in delight! Now, the film will be getting a few more small tweaks and we will be starting the festival circuit to garner investors for my feature!! I'm so excited!! I cannot believe it's finally happening! So please if you can, go to my gofundme page and give a little for our festival run. Thanks so much! Update on this update: We got accepted into our first FESTIVAL!!! Update to the update, we're going to our second festival Dec.8th in Teaneck, NJ!!
